1/16/15 FUN FACT FRIDAY – Tip for removing Dents and Scratches from Wood

Wood Dents

Supplies: iron,

paper towel, or scrap fabric


  1. Iron the dents flat
  2. Lightly wet the dented area (just enough to cover the dent)
  3. Cover the dents with the paper or fabric.
  4. With the iron on the highest level, iron the dent (continuously make small movements back and forth and in circles) Keep pressing till the paper or fabric is dry.
  5. Repeat procedure till the results are as you desire
  6. Touch up with sand paper to make smooth


Wood scratches

Supplies: ¾ cup canola oil

¼ cup white vinegar

Mix ingredients in a bowl or spray bottle, rub the scratched area.
